Several days ago, we had an Intern who was
none too swift. One day she was typing and turned to a secretary and said, "I'm almost out of typing
paper. What do I do?" "Just use copier machine
paper," the secretary told her. With that, the
intern took her last remaining blank piece of paper, put it on the photocopier and proceeded to make five "blank" copies.

We experience this stuff everyday! I always say, "Now, let's think about this..." I will explain what is going on. I mean, don't you think the person would really like to know?

As a manager, if I still see the expression of clueless and "no one home" after the explanation...I know I made a bad hiring decision...cut your losses NOW! It might be rude to point it out but business IS business!

Just like saying, "LOOK, there is the invisible man!" And...someone looks? I got caught on that one and feel stupid to this day! My husband will NOT let me live it down...so it does happen to some intelligent people...just point it out - and be polite about it please. : |

Have you ever thought she might not have know how to get the paper out of the copy machine? AND was trying not to bother anyone again? NOW - who looks dumb? LOLOLOL

When I was a kid and this type thing was seen or done at home...we used to say, "WOW that took brains, B-R-A-N, brains!"

Those were the people who somewhat had an intelligent idea but turned out to be stupid...
Probably, you just asked that question because you thought they should not exist. There are really people like them so don't be surprised about it. Don't ever ask that question... it's rude.
