Hi,

Those gifts are actually sponsored by the various organisations who want to make a mark on the delegates of the IMF-World Bank meetings.

In addition, its a good way to promote the Singapore brand. With over 16,000 overseas delegates, it definitely a good way to spark of word-of-mouth regarding the Singapore brand.

One also cannot deny that the gifts would make the delegates feel special.
