Love is a condition or phenomenon of emotional primacy, or absolute value. Love generally includes an emotion of intense attraction to either another person, a place, or thing; and may also include the aspect of caring for or finding identification with those objects, including self-love. Love can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. In ordinary use, it usually refers to interpersonal love, an experience usually felt by a person for another person. Love is commonly considered impossible to define.
The concept of love, however, is subject to debate. Some deny the existence of love. Others call it a recently invented abstraction, sometimes dating the "invention" to courtly Europe during or after the middle ages (though this is contradicted by the sizable body of ancient love poetry). Others maintain that love really exists, is not an abstraction, but is indefinable; being a quantity which is spiritual, metaphysical, or philosophical in nature. Some psychologists maintain that love is the action of lending one's "boundary" or "self esteem" to another. And others attempt to define love and apply the definition to everyday life.

It's what is left after the lust. It's the little things that make you love that person all the more.
To me it's little things like
Pulling the quilt over you in the early hours because you're cold, even though it wakes them up doing so
Sensing that something just isn't right but knowing that you don't want to talk about it so they give you cuddle instead and tell you everything is gona be fine and meaning it
It's knowing your partner and wanting to make them happy and learning to compromise and not be selfish

Forget all the crap about fireworks; fireworks fizzle out; besides its a myth. If you're are looking for something for the long term, bear in mind this that true love is the total unconditional acceptance of someone; warts and all. It is the ability to forgive this person, to forget their sins against you and to love them even more after that. Love is the ability to hold someone when they want to be held; and also the ability to let someone go when they want to be left alone.
The only earthly experience I can equate it to, is the reaction of children to someone they love; it doesn't matter how much you tell them to go away, if they love they love you. They'll always be willing to smile and play with you and above all, they'll forgive your nasty moods - UNCONDITIONALLY! A mother' love is also unconditional; but the best example of love I can think of is Jesus Christ on the cross- now that was love.

It's different for everyone. Love for me is the willingness to sacrifice yourself for benefit of someone else, only to find that they will do the same for you.
It means sticking by someone when things are at their worst. It means never being alone. It means never having to be afraid again. It means that no matter how bad things are, you know they would be worse if the person you love wasn't there with you.
Love has nothing to do with beauty btw. That would be Obsession, and Lust. Love transcends beauty.

Love is comfort
When you love someone, you are comfortable with anything they do, whether it be physical or emotional.
You will do anything for the person you love. And I mean anything. You would put your life on the line to save theirs
You know you love someone when you miss them when they go to the shops. When you want to be with them every hour of the day. When you get emotional talking about them. When they hug you after a row.
You know you love someone when they take your breath away with a look.

Love is indescribable. All I can do is tell you the feelings of love is amazing in different wayz. I'm sooooooo madly in love with my husband and feel a piece of my heart break every time we're apart, He's my soul mate and loving him is like breathing and then there's a love so deep for my son that came to my heart so naturally.

Love is often mistaken for admiration. Love is also mistaken a lot of times for lust. Love is something much deeper than both admiration or lust.
The opposite of love is not hate. The opposite of love is indifference.
