Elton John on telly last night, in UK?

Good Lord....what's happened to him? What a lack-lustre set. The only person who seemed to be having a good time was the drummer.
Reg was bored, the band was bored....the audience was bored......yet at Live8 he set the stage on fire.
I'm not a devotee or anything....I just wondered if anybody else noticed?

I saw him a couple or three days ago on tv here in America and it seemed like he had a cold. It might be that they all have colds since they work so closely together and that can definately mess up ones performance.
