They did a preg test on me 6 weeks ago at hospital (I was due for an xray) and it came up negative. However, I'm not sure I'd even ovualed yet around that time.

I'm now 3 weeks late.

I've been having cramps in my lower back, and twinges (which are not the same as the pre-period pains I usually get) in my ovaries.

I've had an infection of the urinary tract, and I've been taking antibiotics for it.

Despite all this, I've had what seem to be blatant symptoms.

Cravings - If I crave one thig to eat, but can't get it, I don't want ANYTHING else.

Nausea - Certain smells are making me feel really sick, to the point of retching when I smelled the cat's food this morning. Also I'm feeling nauseous every time I wake up, be it morning or afternoon.

Tiredness - I'm really tired, and needing a sleep every afternoon.

Also, I've read that lower back pain can be a symptom of pregnancy.... but it feels similar to when I'm about to get my period..

Firstly, if you are pregnant, then congrats!!!! that is awesome news.

I would reccomend doing a home pregnancy test. The new ones really are quite accurate, and it will just save you all the worry.

Go past a drug store, pick one up and then you will know!

Symptoms do seem to point to the fact that you are

Go to the dr and ask for a blood test. I had that happen....urine test said no. got into a car accident. had xrays.....even a blood test said no. Then next thing I know I left school and had a miscarriage in my bathroom at home (I lived 4 houses away). I realize it was'nt my time for a baby (I was 18). But it's a horrible feeling to lose a child you had inside you (even if you didn't know until after the fact) I took so many preg tests durning that time. Please go talk to your dr. If you are convinced it might be. If it's just your period coming then at least you know for sure and you can rest easy.

I just read about the ovarian cyst. That's a possibility too. I had one in 2004 and they did a sonogram. I had all those symptoms and collapsed from pain at work. Went to hospital to find out it did rupture (apparently that was ok to them I was freaking out tho) and found out I was 6 wks preggrs. I was th inking I had an etopic pregnacy.
bottom line. go to gyno to find out. please.

Lower back pains? Sounds like you might be miscarrying. Sometimes the physical "results" will not show up though for a few weeks. Sorry for the bad news. Good luck next time!

You might be pregnant but then again it could be the side affects from the antibiotics. You should try taking another test in a few days. it doesn't hurt to test again. The dollar store tests are just as good.

When they did your x-ray, did they also do a sonogram? You might have an ovarian cyst. Similar symptoms....Irregular/late periods...abdominal pain....nausea...I've had this problem a few years ago. I felt nauseated, vomitted a few times, had abdominal pain, feels like something being pulled near the ovaries...my period was late too. I had to go to emergency room and i found out I had an ovarian cyst as well as UTI. Go see your gyno and ask.

You need to take another pregnancy test because it sounds like you are. You might have been too early 6 weeks ago to show up positive. GOOD LUCK

Have another test done (or do one yourself with one of the store-bought kits). Don't wait around wondering if you may be preggers, find out.
If you are to the point of feeling the symptoms you describe, then SOMETHING is up. Find out what.
Do it today.

Why dont you just go and get a home pregnancy test and find out?
And if you are pregnant, and it's a girl, name her Louise after me :)
