spends so much on his baseball team because he understands the great legacy that is his responsibility.

Basically the Ted Sox have one legendary ball player to celebrate.

New York on the other hand has the great names of Gherig, Ruth, Mantle, Dimaggio, Ford, Jackson, etc. etc. etc. hovering over their every success.

The Yankees won four world series to close the last century, and yet nobody is satisfied.

If the Red Sucks won another World Series in the next twenty years they would piss themselves for glee, but if the Yankees don't win the World Series tomorrow and also the next day and the next day, well . . .
thats just not good enough.

You suck Ted Sox!

That's a question? I wish I understood it. It's funny how two of the famous Yankees you named, came from other teams (Ruth and Jackson). Anyway, I'm sensing what you're talking about is that the Yankees are EXPECTED to win the Series year after year. It isn't Steinbrenner's fault, but the Yankees represent what is wrong with baseball. There is no patience. One cannot breed a team from the minors and live with that for years to come. It always seems like players can't wait to be free agents. And whoever wins the series, gets broken up by the next year anyway!

Being a Yankee Fan I appreciate all that Steinbrenner does for us. I hear all the crybabies say that he buys championships well what he really does is put the Best team he can afford on the field. They still have to play the games. It's also quite funny that no one gives the Red Sux any grief over the fact that they have the 2nd highest payroll in baseball.
Its going to be a sad day in NY when George Steinbrenner is no longer there.

I awoke at present and unfolded internet explorer, and the archives there stated "George Steinbrenner passes away." i develop into taken aback. i will't even clarify how i think. Say what you want about him yet he's to thank for the Yankees fulfillment. it really is so demanding to entice close that he's lengthy previous. he's between the nicely acceptable proprietors contained in the game. And what quite some human beings did not recognize is he develop right into a kind charitable guy. RIP, Boss. I easily have no doubt in my concepts that the Yankees will honor the Boss and Bob Sheppard after the All celeb destroy.

Hey hey, the Sox have plenty of history. Like in 78 when they collapsed to the Yankees culminated by that Bucky Dent home run.

Or in 2003 when Aaron Boone ended their season in similar fashion.

Or when they traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees.

Or when they let Johnny Damon come to NY because they decided to get cheap... which helped us win #27.

As for Steinbrenner, he spends money because he understands how business works. You have to make an investment to reap rewards. In return for his $200M payroll, he has world-record attendance every year and the #1 sports network in the tri-state area.

I read in the paper that the yankee and the columbus clipper are going to end there 28 years partnership

why the yankees will never win another world series....because of their "devoted" fans!!

1.) balding white conservative with a beer gut screaming for his downtrodden wife to get him a cold one

2.) mouthy *** fan screaming from the stands and throwing bottles or sharp objects at players from opposing teams

3.) benchwarmers for their highschool teams who talked the loudest but never went anywhere in their dreams of glory

4.) cry and complain when George "old windbag" can't buy another world series title with his $3 billion dollar payroll

AND

5.) beats on his kids, plays bumper cars with pedestrians/other drivers, and thinks the world owes him a World Series ring.

Yankee fans need to buy yourself a New York Times and use it as toilet paper for your overhyped, overrated and overpaid team!

paid for by: a loyal Boston Redsox fan tired of hearing Yankee fans whine every year!:)
