may be ur kid is wise enough to clear history. so u better use a BO *(backoffice) s/w.
try for "activity stealth keylogger" s/w u can search it and download it from www.downlaods.com.
keylogger will log each n every key ur kid will press. so u can trace time, websites visited, passwords even the chatting and texting he has been doing ..
but i would suggest u dont spy him .. it is his age to explore these things. if he is doing really very wrong then dont scold him just try to explain him that it is not correct.
more u scold and punish him more he will find the other ways to do these wrong things ..

reset all your passwords.. and make sure you have blocks on the sites you do not want them to get into... and check your history often... But they can also delete the history so you can not see it... you can install a program that show ever word they type... i cant remember the name of it... but if you go to a place like office depot they should be able to help you out with this.... better yet... have the computer in a room were you can watch what they are doing............. or take the computer away from them........

I suggest go to Tools menu, internet options, look in the Temporary Internet Files section of this card, click on Settings, click on View files (and) objects.. that should give an idea what's going on, hoping that your child has been just deleting history by using View/Explorer bar/History and deleting history from there...

Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox has a history folder that will show all the places a person has visited, and lists them per day.
Also do a search on monitoring your childs activity, there are various programs that log everything A kid does on his or her computer.
