i notice that all the answers to your question are ridiculous.so,i wanna give you the correct answer, expecting 10 points for it
an object appears a particular colour because it absorbs all colours and reflects only that colour. Moreover,an object appears white when it reflects all colours.
so,grass appears green as it reflects green colour and absorbs all other colours.milk doesnt absorb any colour and therefore appears white.

The grass contains green chlorophyll for photosynthesis. The milk is not made from grass so I do not see the relevance of the questions

As Mac explained the colors are a subjective phenomena depending upon the wave-length of light, and color receptors in the eye of an observer.
I only want to point out that surfaces which absorb all light appear black, the surfaces which reflect all light appear white like mirror. But other colors are not that simple. In my view the surfaces which reflect (not absorb) green or red light will appear of that color.

Have you heard of green eggs and ham? The grass looses it's color after digesting. I don't know why the milk is white, but it wouldn't taste right any other color, would it?
