We need to know it is just a woman thing. If that makes us nosey then so bit it. Just let your husband know if you didn't check everything out you wouldn't have anything to talk about. I bet he really does want to know about most of the goss he is just putting up a front.

There is a theory that men talk to obtain factual information whilst women talk to discuss situations, ideas, opinions etc. Might be true but suspect as always its more about the individual really. Still it does depend what you were being 'interested' in as to whether it could be considered nosey so i'm not sure i could side with either of you without knowing more details

You can be interested in people without prying into their lives with intrusive questions. Put yourself in the shoes of the person you are questioning each time you ask a question - that way you will know whether you are being nosey.

Points be d*mned. You are both right. I am a woman and I'm interested and hubby thinks I'm nosy. He's right to. to a guy we are nosy. Guys don't talk about feelings and tochy feely stuff (unless they gotta) us girls want details to better understand the story. It's like Men are from Mars Women are from Venus. Never read the book but totally understand the saying. We are just two different breeds.

I don't know, I don't know the details, but it doesnt sound like you are. And if you are, then your husband is too. If he is keeping up on you that much and seems to think you are noising around, what does he think he is doing? And I agree with you on the interested part, thats what I do. I like to keep up on the facts that happen with other people.

Why is it only gay men who are interested in other people, thumberlina? I'm not gay, but am more interested in people than sport on TV!
However, would rather eat a wasp than buy a copy of some celeb gossip rag, like Hello.
Who's right in the original question? The one who has the grace to let his wife win!

Men are not nosey, we Spy.
In answer to your question, once you get some gossip how long before you pass it on? less than 10mins & your a nosey, gossip.
A nice quote to describe a nosey woman is
'The right hand always knows what the left hand's doing if she can get her mouth in between. ' or 'Anything she hears goes in one ear and out through the telephone.'
Now can I have 10 points please?

I'm curious about practically everything within the realms of learning and thinking, and therefor, show an interest. I'm not remotely interested in the day to day goings-on of my peers or celebrities, because I'm not nosey.
