I have a strong aversion to people! My kindness has repeatedly been seen as a weakness and eventually taken full advantage of and when I say enough I get turned against and this includes by my own children! My life has been filled with takers and I am a giver until the taker crosses the line and it always happens. For example: I was a good enough friend to help this woman neighbor out. She had four kids, and a sorry man friend. I gave them money, food, clothes, Christmas gifts, rides, dinners out, I babysat and got not so much as a thank you. One day I was helping my daughter move and she had one or two items of food that she didn't want and the woman was also a friend of hers and was there too. I jokingly put the items in a bag saying that I wanted it but I was really packing it for the woman. This woman up and goes slap off on me! I tell her straight faced that I was just playing and she yells at me that I play too much. I told her you'd better think about what you are saying and who you are saying it to. Oh she tried to change things but she was done. She is just one of many and this would be a book before I finished. What I plan to do about it is to try and get acquainted with one person and then two and so on but very very cautiously. A first face could be a false face.
