I am divorced without children, I work full time, I work shifts.
I have a few friends, most of them have children & are divorced or married, their lives revolve around their children.

The internet is a fine place - but it can be scarey.
There are a lot of phoneys here.
Have you tried getting out and involved in local or community activities....volunteering at schools, hospitals, or other institutions gives you a wonderful exposure to new people.
Oh...and do your 360 page...you meet lots of nice folks that way too!

Join a team sport, a church group or take a dance class. There are many ways to meet new people. Don't be shy.
46 is a good age. Most people your age have children that have moved out or are about to move out.

go to night school, take some classes that interest you.
attend church activities
volunteer at a community center
try selling avon, tupperware

go to a bar or a pub, try to feel good about yourself because that will make you look better. make some time for yourself and think about what you really want. maybe you do not want friends, but a special someone...

be more cheerfull snd try not to be shy.. People will start noticing you.. Just don't give up.. Everything will turn out ok.. Everyone have their own partner in life.. You won't be lonely..

I'm sorry to hear that you are lonely. maybe you can do volunteer work or join a recreational club of some sort. i have many ideas.

leave the sites and internet alone... go out and get some real human interaction... make yourself available... go to a pub... and just chill.. never know who you'll bump into...
