hey guys, i'm having problems with my sound card, as no sound will play on my p.c, i'm guessing i need to re-install the drivers, but i cant find my driver disk for the sound card, is there any way off getting these drivers from the web.
i tryed new hardware but a error msg came up when tryin to install. so i need the drivers i think. any help pleas thanks

Go to the manufacturers website for drivers. It's probably ww.creative.com.

If you can find the manufacturer's website you can usually find a drivers download page. Use control panel to find out your exact type of hardware first so you can choose the right driver.

You might find you have to look for the chip manufacturer rather than the branding on the card to identify what you want.

Check the manufacturer of the sound card and goto the site of it and then download the driver for the card and then get installed on ur computer it is easy

If you are having probs knowing what drivers you need...To find out all details (make ,number, drivers etc) of your soundcard (& anything else on your computer for that matter), download a freeware small utility called Aida32 to your desktop click on it & when it opens, look under multimedia & also windows devices for all the info.

If new drivers don't work try reinstalling DirectX

try system restore, control panel, performance/maintenance...that will cure a multitude of sins...
