Will I be infringing the artists copyright and be due to pay royalties ?

Yes, you will be infringing copyright. Name checking just makes it easier for their lawyers to prove you did it!
Get some non-copyright music for your soundtrack!

I agree with michael, you need to look for royalty free music. You can buy lots of this anywhere, once bought you can use freely.

Alternatively, use a music program to create your own.

You need permission of the copyright owner to include their music in your video.

I don't think you can ou know. I suppose if it is just for you and you mates you could but if it you are looking to get signed by a label you dfinetly have to get permission from the artists label otherwise you could face one hefty fine

Hi there, I think if it's for personal use and your'e not going to sell it on- then you can use the music, there isn't really any harm in it. If you are planning on showing it to a public audience, or even to sell it- you need to get their permission to use it.

If you have gone to the trouble of making a video why don't you go that step further and compose your own music. get one of those PC programmes and get writing. You would then know its all your own work.
