land degradation is caused by the inustrial waste thrown by the industiries otside on agricultural land . this not only renders it but also makes filled with dangerous chemicals

By using it in a way incompatible with natural cycles. One way is to pollute it -- add chemicals that block nature's processes. Another is to use it too intensively -- take out nutrients e.g. by not rotating crops.

In one sense, a third way is to neglect it. If a built environment is allowed to disintegrate, eventually nature will reassert itself, the land will revert to forest or marsh or whatever was there hundreds or thousands of years ago. But in the meantime the mix of scrub and rubble that forms may reasonably be called degradation.

So start a war, occupy someone else's land, then do nothing with it, and you can watch it degrade. That's what Israel has done on the Golan Heights since 1967.
