Hi there, I am a self-confessed nerd. I collect New Zealand stamps. Along the way I've managed to pick up lots of spares (unmounted mint) in whole or partial sets. Trouble is, no dealer is interested in buying. Ebay! I hear you cry. Fine, but I'd rather get together with other NZ stamp collectors and mutually trade/swap stamps. How do I go about doing that? Otherwise I'll just wind up sending them home to my Mum and Dad to use as postage.

You don't say where you live, but here are two suggestions:

1) Especially if you are in the U.S., but give it a try regardless: go to http://www.stamps.org and click on Clubs and Societies/Local Clubs to see if there is a stamp club in your area. Face-to-face is the most enjoyable way of swapping stamps.

2) Go to http://members.aol.com/stampsho/saso.html which is the website of Society of Australasian Specialists/ Oceania. This group has sales circuits where you can sell your duplicates and buy from others. And you may get a membership list (I am not a member myself, so I don't know) - if so, there might be another member living near you.

Have fun! We nerds rock!

Try www.123racing.com for some FREE HORSE RACE contests that allow 'you' to win some real money to help 'fund' 'your' stamp collecting ....And 'time' increases the value of same so do collect the 'sets' un-stamped and put 'them' away in a PROPER enviroment for the future incresed values...come 20 yr's' from now 'you' won't have to 'live' through the REGRETS so MANY others have had....
