This may be a really weird question! We have been trying to concive (my fience and i) with no luck!
Wehad a thought that it may have something to do with the fact that he works in 50 degrees, 12 hours a day. Could this be killing it?
And if so, how long does it take to generate healthy, normal sperm?

Thanks for any answers.

I takes about 36 hours to produce a volume of mature sperm. Testicles will drop if the body temp.is to high. They will shrink if to cold. If your body is cold your blood will gravitate to your core organs. This may cause insufficient blood supply to produce healthy sperm. Have him wear jockeys to try to keep his testes close to the warmth of his body. Also have him wear extra layers of clothing around his chest a abdomen to keep his core organs warm. I would als suggest a surgical mask of ski mask to warm the air he breathes so his lungs wont demand more blood to keep warm. The only other thing I can suggest is a two week vacation. If any of this helps name the baby after me ok.

Get a sperm analysis. That way you would know whether there is a problem with your fiance's sperm or not. If the result came out fine, then you shouldn't be worried about his working environment.
But the theory that heat kills sperm could be true cause some doctors advise men to wear boxers instead of briefs and avoid hot showers and saunas
Good luck

It shouldn't affect him hon..people who live in tropical climates that experience those sort of temps each day still manage to have children. I have heard that boxer shorts are a good option for a man to wear when ttc. The body should do the rest in keeping it all at the right temp. Good luck and tons of baby dust to you!.

External temperature does not influence or affect the sperms. sperms are highly protected in epididymis which act as a protective storage for a period of time.. Stay cool and be happy

heat kills it. make sure he's not taking baths that are too warm.

Cold should preserve it. Ask any sperm bank.
