It's a vegetable known as Lady's fingers it is often found in Indian cooking.
Hmm apparently an okra pod can be used to replace olive in a martini. I didn't know that before, learn something new everyday.

A vegetable known as lady finger(s). Slim, medium green, fuzzy texture, slippery when cut, with white round seeds the size of pepper seeds. Cut lengthwise, slice round or julliene and cook with a little oil, salt and choice spices. Tastes slightly sweet and sticky. Said to be full of calcium and vitamins. Widely available in the Indian subcontinent, Africa and perhaps southeast asia.

Okra is a kind of vegetable gelatinous relish which is quite appetising. It can be green or brownish once cooked.I hear that because of its gelatinous state, it can strengthen man's sperm thus enhancing his fertility. One can drink it or enjoy it with bread rolls. It can be eaten by anyone and that sexual effect only applies to man.

lady's fingers. Long green bean like vegetable with seeds inside of them. You cook them in a home made tomato sauce either in a saucepan or in the oven with lots of tomato, onion and a little garlic and olive oil.
