A litre of water with a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt dissolved in the water. When you drink you lose water and salt from your body. The hangover is your bodies way of telling you to replace these. The sugar gives you energy. It's best to drink this while still drunk before going to bed because 1) it doesn't taste so bad and 2) it prevents the hangover.

Hangovers are caused by the liver’s retention of acetaldehyde (a metabolite of alcohol), as alcohol is consumed.

Dates are helpful in quickly removing the acetaldehyde and grapes are good anti-oxidants (to be had the same evening – not next morning) . Go for the natural stuff and drink lots of water before hitting the sack. You should be fit and focused the next morning.

I swear by milk. Have a big glass before indulging in some greasy food, a fry up or Chinese takeaway. Keep drinking milk and milkshakes throughout the day and eat some plain vanilla ice cream.

The only real cure, my friend, is time. I find that V8 vegetable juice also helps to put vitamins and minerals back in the body and, if you're really adventurous, add Tabasco and Worcestershire Sauce to it. No vodka.

Good luck.

Drink a little of what you had the night before. so if you were drinking beer all night have half a pint in the morning, If you were drinking Vodka & Red Bulls all night have a bloody mary in the morning, the vodka will pick you back up again nicely and give you a little buzz.

I start of with a pint of cold water and 2 extra strength paracetamols.

I then have a fry up and drink loads of lemonade and lay on the sofa.

Works a treat for me.

Try another beer - it works (but you might just end up being an alcoholic).
Failing that, drink a couple of glasses of water, take two aspirin and go to sleep for a couple of hours!

Drink lots of nonalcoholic drinks such as water or gateraid, caffeinated beverages also work. And sleep. When you get drunk you actually dehydrate yourself that is the cause of the headache. Also Oxygen administration works well
