Well his reputation has never been great.
Look at the stars now that are coming on to yahoo answers how desperate is that? Seems to me they have found a new way of getting free publicity using yahoo to do it.
Most people I know if you mention Keith Chegwin to them they just say "Ugh" hehe

Not really. Everyone knows the show is a spoof/comedy. Surely nobody thinks Keith Chegwin is actually like that, any more than they would think Orlando Bloom is the way he played himslef last night.

I thought Cheggers was brilliant on Extras, thought that the role he played showed just what a good actor he can be, I would never of believed he could play that venomous a part. He certainly stole the show and whether it has damaged his reputation or not, it has certainly got everyone talking this morning.

I think his reputation was damaged beyond repair when he apperaed as Fleance in Roman Polanski's 1971 film of "Macbeth". The song he sang was embarrassing in the extreme.
Since then his career has ALWAYS taken a downward spiral but he's such a bag of sh*te you can't help but liking the guy, really?

Exposure of anykind is normally a good thing for celebs. (I really wish he hadn't fully exposed himself though). As long as people are talking about them, then they are still worth talking about i guess.
