In the book, Atticus (the father) teaches his son that it is a sin to kill a mockingbird - or any songbird - because all they do is make our world more beautiful.

That is a recuring theme throughout the entire book whether the story of the old lady's withdrawal from prescription morphine before her death or Boo Radleys saving of the children, or the rape trial.

Magnificent book.

Mockingbirds are symbolism of pure innocence. The book 'Not to kill mockingbird' is a reflection: the children misunderstood Boo, and the white girl claims the black guy did 'rape' her but he is not during the trial as they tell their different view of story in public let the public to choose which is truth or lies to clear the confusion. It already revealed Boo and even though black are innocent.

It has nothing to do with Mockingbirds. What it has to do with is that the mockingbird is a harmless bird, that eats harmful bugs. Bo Radley is "the mockingbird" in the story. He's a harmless creature who helps Scout and Jem get away from the man who breaks Jem's arm because Jem's daddy defended the black guy who "raped" the white girl, even though he was innocent.

Because Mockingbirds are innocent and harmless. They do an thing innocent like Mock other birds. In the Movie to kill a mocking bird this little man was not trying to do harm to anyone. So Tom did not harm anyone in the Movie. In the end it was the real bird that did the harm and not the Mocking bird so to say. That's it God Bless You!

Mockingbirds are singing creatures that mimic the beautiful sounds that surround them. Yet some people hate them, and desire to kill them for no good reason.

Does the movie have any beautiful people that improve the environment they are in? Are there people that hate them and want to kill them for no good reason?

There are quite a few other parallels. Great, classic, movie.

that there was a part where a man was shooting mockingbirds. a neighbor asked why he was shooting them, when all they've done was to sing and chirp and live. and that's the same with the racism in America before. the negroes were being discriminated just because they were negroes. they were being killed when they've done nothing wrong.

It all comes down to metaphors and symbolism. I am guessing that a bird is a metaphor for freedom...or something like that.
