I have read a theory that Dumbledore is an Animagus, in the form of a phoenix. If this is true, which is not far from happening, then I have concluded that Dumbledore's close ties with his phoenix means something. Dumbledore could have mated with another phoenix and produced Fawkes!

It's possible. (Anything is possible with J.K. Rowling). My theory is Snape is not bad. Dumbledore was dying anyway (note his hand through the last book) and asked Snape to kill him so it looked like he was an enemy in order to protect Harry. What do you think?

I'm sorry, but I disagree. I have read all of the released books and am fairly certain Faux is not Dumbledore's son. Interesting theory, though. But if you've read The Half-Blood Prince, then it's obvious Dumbledore is not animagous-particularly a bird or he would have flown from danger.

A connection between Dumbledore and Fawkes, yes... I'm sure it will turn out to be important later. But his son?!? Not darn likely...

Interesting. I have a theory that Hedwig is an animagus but I can't think who it could be. I actually thought it was Dumbledore but hedwig is a she and they have been in the same room together.
