I have to take 2 classes of physics within the next year or 2. Im in pre pharmacy program. Im just curious what people think ive never taken a physics class, Im taking chemistry right now and organic chem soon and its torture. I already took calculus, in which I receieved a high B, but I have trouble with the word problems in calculus or I would have gotten an easy A. Im good at Biology, im not bad at chemistry it just takes awhile to get some things, im good at math other then word problems. the courses are Physics I and Physics II.

Im not looking forward to taking them because I think they will have a lot of word problems..

No one can really say how hard something is. Depending on your strengths and weaknesses and how hard you're willing to work, you should do fine, since it seems you're not bad with sciences. I got Bs in my college calculus classes but As in my physics (and I found physics WAY easier than chemistry and calculus). So like I said, it depends entirely on you.

I'm a biology major and I've gotten higher grades in the two physics courses I've taken so far than both chemistry and biology classes I've taken (Got 98 on the first midterm and 97 on the second in the class I'm taking now! Yay). As there may be different physics series available for you to take (one for life science majors and one for physical science majors), you might have an easier time with the life science major-physics. Just study hard and get help RIGHT when you need it so you don't fall behind. That's the most important part...if there's a problem you don't understand, go to the professor or one of the TAs and have them explain it to you until you get it. The great thing about physics is that if you do get something difficult explained to you until it makes sense, it usually explains a lot of other related problems. Like a light bulb going off in your head.

I can tell you from my experience with the problems we do aren't like calculus word problems. All you really need for many of them is common sense and a bit of logic. If you practice a LOT and do all the suggested problems from books and stuff, you'll be so familiar with all the concepts that you'll know which ones to apply.

Don't worry so much about it. Physics is great =)

At my University, they were evil. The average for the exams rarely went above 50 out of 100. Someone once told me after one physics exam, she cried because she was so frustrated. Organic Chemistry averages were always above a 50. Physics made org chem look like a walk in the park.
As a current pharmacy student, I can say in college of pharmacy, I have used my physics knowledge a round number of times. That round number is zero, by the way.

There is nothing harder for mankind to do so as u know mankind has step his foot on the moon u see once there was a time where they believed no1 will ever be able to step a foot on it but later a man prooved that they can.

You have mentioned that ur goona take that subject for ur higher studies,Then u'll just have to spend a bit more time(commitment)
on ur studies on that subjact than others once u feel that u r ok then u'll b able to proceed well.

Anything in the world is not harder, they are easy though
Only think we have to do is like wht ever v are gonna learn and work with it(be keen on what u do)

Just think optomisticly that u can do it but(NOT pessimisticly in anycondition or status * even in sex***)

Nobody taught Albert when he introduce E=mc2?
Just study hard, Physics is just another branch of science that requires practice. That's all I can say. Anyway, failing Physics I will not end your life.

For me physics I and II are not that difficult. Difficulty depends from person to person.

As the famous medieval poet AC/DC said, hard, hard as rock. How about just taking the course and studying instead of worrying?
