I guess yesterday is the best Century hit by Sachin Tendulkar. It is for me because this century came after months of absent and scarred by injury which even threathen his career of playing again. This also has the message to other cricketer that he may not playing but he is still very in the game with heart and soul.

I feel the century scored by Sachin against West Indies on 14.09.2006 was great due to following reason:

1) He was out of cricket for a long time due to injuries.
2) Many started feeling that Sachin has lot his touch.
3) It was a challenge to him to show his strength.
4) He batter throughout 50 overs and remained a backbone
of Indian Innings.

The way others batted except Pathan and to some extent Raina without Sachin's contribution, India would not have been able to reach even 250 runs.

Most certainly it one and only: "143 against Australia at Sharjah".

In fact it was one of the best Innings I have ever seen. And I would rate that as the "best" from him.

I watched the highlights of that match over 40 times (like you). And would watch it today as well, because you helped me of reminding that Innings.

What an Innings that was from the "little master". Plundered runs on aussie. Giving him out at that point was really bad decision. Actually the way he was given out in both Innings (including the one in Final), was really a bad decision. But still: It was remarkable performance from him. 1st of all: He helped his team reaching the Final. And then, secondly: He tried really hard to win the match. I still remember his brilliant sixes in the last few overs. It was really similar Innings he played against West-Indies. And specially those sixes. I think if the umpire wouldn´t have given him out, he would´ve taken India home.

I´m sorry, but I have to say that the other answerer's really don´t know much about Cricket and Tendulkar. They rated this Innings as the best, but it was "one of the best" from him. but not the "best".
So, that´s why: I have also given the link below of that match for other answerer's to see the scorecard and see what is the "best".

Thanks!
