yes you could have a mentor of the opposite sex
i cant tell you for sure that you wont fall for them because when i first started out with my current fiance we were close mentors
but you can surprise us
i have some friends who are opposites and they are doing quite well with just staying friends
so yes it can be done
just remember don't do anything that you would normally do with your girlfriend
if not mix signals will come into the pictures bringing feeling
now that only if you both agree not to bring something stronger to the table
i wish you good luck

Love and sex are two different things! Lust is not love!

Yes, you can have a mentor of the opposite sex! Of course that don't mean they will want to do you!

Not necessarily, it could remain platonic. It depends on how you feel about them in the first place, and looks, and how they act. But I believe it is possible to have an opposite sex mentor and still remain platonic.
