How much do you spend per month on groceries??

Question

I am mostly interested in how much people spend on average for 1 PERSON. So if you do not live alone, please adjust accordingly. It would also be helpful to provide your state (or country, if outside the US) of residence.

I thought Paradise City was where the grass is green and the girls are pretty. I've had it wrong all these years! lol. =)

For three people (adults), 2 dogs, 3 cats... approx. $300 a month.

Now this amount does NOT include "dining out" which we do very little of but it is FOOD... Dining out would be about $100 a month additional.

I spend around 1500-2000 per month...I live in South Africa...where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.

Up to 500 Euros a month for two people with two dogs. But!!! I could spend less if i wanted to, get everything from the supermarket etc. I prefer to buy my veg, fruits, meat, dairy, eggs, fish etc. From places i agree with. Such as organic farmers (On teh farm) Or at the pier (Fresh fish/seafood). It costs more than buying frozen food. Was i not to do this it would cost me about 300 Euros a month. I'm on the north west coast of Ireland.
