Are you joking?

On a date i might expect a guy to buy me a drink or two, or maybe dinner if it's special, but in this modern day when us women are supposed to be "independent", who in their right mind would actually ask their new date to buy them clothes??

In all honesty, this guy has probably been dragged to the mall in the first place, and then to be expected to buy your clothes for you.... guys if you're reading this, steer clear of chicks like this! This is not the norm.

Darling, you've probably been raised with everything you ever wanted given to you on a silver platter - it's time to grow up and start looking after yourself, rather than expecting men will pay for the pleasure of you company.

No, your not her mother, a date goes as far as a drink, movies popcorn and something you enjoy doing together, if you pay for her clothes on the date, imagine what you'll have to pay for next! :) let it be her responsibility

No, not until the relationship gets more serious. If the chick seems like she expects you to pay then get rid of her now becuase she is just in it for the money! Unless you want to get her in the sack ASAP. lol

Heaven sakes no! Even if he was your boyfriend for awhile he still should not have to buy your clothes. Unless of course he wants to. But you should not expect anyone to buy your clothes.

I do appreciate to receive a small gift but I hate to take advantage over a new guy when I am really shopping for myself.

No. He'd think I'm a gold digger, which I'm not. Well even if he became my boyfriend, I won't ask him to pay for the stuff I buy.

No. That happens later in the relationship and that's at least a year or so. Don't use the guy.

It is either he pays or not. Unless the guy falls for me and he is rich, then he might pay for it.
