You know what you are supposed to be by looking at the one thing that gives your life meaning. not a spouse or partner but perhaps and intrest or even children. Maybe you are meant to be a family man. I would say try to do as many things as possible until you find one that is your perfect fit

As long as you make your choices with a sincere conscience not to hurt others I don't think there is much for regrets. The rest can be experimental and every choice is a learning experience. Of course following your interest can be a good way to start.

Simple! just be yourself! There are a lot of things that influence us in decision making and more especially when it comes to defining who we really are. Often we go for things that most people are going for, which i don't think should be the case. What we want, like, and are interested in is what defines us. Even this is not enough because in what ever we'd like to be or to do, we should have passion in doing such things. Otherwise we might end up being bored freaks. Don't forget to do something about whatever you are interested and have passion in, because, the more you know about it, the more you'll like it, the more you have satisfaction in being yourself! So just be you and forget whatever society wants you to be.

There is no knowing what the right path is all the time. Do what you think you would enjoy. If you don't end up liking it, no harm done, try something else. You don't have to decide right now, do some things you like to see what will suit you.

The movie/ book "The 5 People you meet in heaven" is so good at answering your question.

The story is about a man who fought in the Vietnam war, came home married, lost his wife, and then took care of his mom. We see this how this character is addressed with his life in heaven and how his answers to "Why" are given. It's such a good way to review what you're doing with your life.

Always trust your instinct and trust you the person! Tell yourself you can do it and make yourself do it! If you're talking about a career, then go for something you enjoy. You will find it easier and happier to study and if you're talking about choices as in a relationship ... Trust your istinct again! You know better than anyone else. It's your life, it's about you and no one knows you as well as you do!

Best wishes
