As others said, water does wonders for your skin and the rest of your body as well. Stay away from complex sugars. Natural remedies such as tea trea oil and witch hazel are wonderful toners that cost less than half of the chemical sludge that you might buy at the drugstore. And don't forget to sweat. Use a humidifier or something similar to open up and clear out your pores. You can do this by turning on the hot water and just sitting in the steam, or even exercise followed by a shower is good. And don't forget to take your vitamins. Even a good multivitamin can be found in the generic (less expensive) area of the store.

Vitamin A (with carotenoids)
Vitamin A strengthens the protective tissue of the skin and prevents acne it helps reduce sebum production. This vitamin is essential for the maintenance and repair of the tissue which the skin and mucous membranes are made of. Vitamin A is also a powerful antioxidant needed to rid your body of toxins. Did you know that a deficiency in vitamin A can actually cause acne? Recommended dosage to fight acne: 10,000 IU If you are pregnant, do not take more than 5000 IU

Vitamin B
Complex The B vitamins help to maintain healthy skin tone. They are also helpful in relieving anxiety and stress. Stress can be a major player in causing acne. The B vitamins should always be taken together. The vitamins in the B complex are Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin (Nicotinic Acid, Niacinamide), Pantothenic Acid, Pyridoxine and Cyanocobalamin. Each one of these vitamins has a specific role in promoting healthy skin, as well as overall health.

Thiamine (Vitamin B1)
Thiamine acts as an antioxidant ridding your body of toxins. It enhances circulation and assists in proper digestion. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 100 mg 3 times daily

Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)
Riboflavin works together with Vitamin A to maintain and improve the mucous membranes in the digestive tract. It is also essential for healthy skin, hair and nails. Acne is a symptom of Riboflavin deficiency. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 100 mg 3 times daily

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
Niacinamide is vital for healthy skin by improving circulation and helping your body with the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. A deficiency in Niacinamide will cause acne. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 200 mg 3 times daily

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)
Vitamin B5 is popular for reducing stress. It is needed for the proper function of the adrenal glands. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 100 mg 3 times daily

Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6)
Pyridoxine is important in the functioning of your immune system and your antibody production. A deficiency of vitamin B6 can result in acne. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 100 mg 3 times daily

Vitamin C with bioflavonoids
Vitamin C is another "super vitamin". It is an antioxidant that is required for at least 300 metabolic functions in the body, including tissue growth and repair.Vitamin C protects against infection and enhances immunity. Bioflavanoids have an antibacterial effect. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 1000 to 1600 mg 3 times daily If you have diabetes, ask your doctor about the proper dosage.

Chromium
For acne, it aids in reducing infections of the skin. To get the adequate amount of chromium in your diet, chromium should be taken in supplemental form called chromium picolinate or chromium polynicotinate. Chances are you are chromium deficient because the form of chromium in foods is not easily absorbed and is lost during processing; and high quantities of sugar in the diet cause a loss of chromium from the body. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 150 mcg per day

Zinc
Zinc aids in healing of the tissues and helps prevent scarring. It helps prevent acne by regulating the activity of the oil glands. Zinc promotes a healthy immune system and the healing of wounds. It is also an antioxidant which helps to fight and prevent the formation of free radicals. Acne can be a sign of Zinc deficiency. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 25-30mg per day

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that enhances healing and tissue repair. It prevents cell damage by inhibiting the oxidation of lipids (fats) and the formation of free radicals. Recommended dosage to fight acne: 400 IU daily

Good luck!

I have tried it all. Spent more money than I could afford trying to get the ultimate complexion. After all that what I found works the best was probably the most inexpensive. I use loreal eyelift, it really does help dark, puffiness under the eye. I then use ROC deep wrinkle cream. Heavy wrinkles in my forehead runs in my family. And then I use Loreal's anti-age cream on my entire face. It actaully has 2 lotions that dispense at the same time, one hydrates and one tones. I am 41 and do have wrinkles, but I do have to admit that seem to be less than they were a year ago when I used more expensive produts. The above mentioned runs me about $55, but it lasts me about 3 months, not to bad.

First identify what type of skin you have.

Now,

What is your diet like and do you drink water instead of soda or alcohol? Do you smoke? and do you sit in the sun or use a tanning bed? If you are negligent with your diet, smoke and drink, expect to not have great skin. If you also tan, then don't expect to have great skin for very long. That will turn you into a wrinkled mess faster than anything that I have ever seen.

Use a high quality skin care product that is preferably Swiss formulated as they have the gold standard in pure ingredients;
A product without the use of petroleum and mineral oil and is instead botanically based and uses no animal products or bi-products. Using a highly concentrated product that is more economical than a cheaply made product with inferior ingredients that can do more harm than good.
Also becareful of products that use artificial fragrances or fillers as these will irritate and clog the pores. Take a sniff test, you can tell the difference.

Use products that can be returned to the seller if they do not perform for you or are not right for your skin type.

If you would be interested in knowing of such a product line let me know, as I use such a products. Remember, Cheap is not always better, sometimes it is downright very expensive. Look for quality in all that you do and use.

So check the ingredients and if you can't read , pronounce them or you do recognize some of the ingredients as petroleum or mineral oil, think what these will do TO your skin then find another product fast.

Fondly and hope this helps,
The Diva, Darling

The cheapest is water and at least 7 hours of sleep a night. Being tired and dehydrated makes the skin look and feel saggy. Eating a lot of dark green vegetables and dark colored fruits provides the anti-oxidants to protect the quality of your skin. If you need a beauty product, try washing with a mild cleanser like Ponds deep cleanser. It ranks 1 on the fast growing beauty product ranking site, BeautyQA.com. There's also a bunch of beauty tips that they provide.

Exfoliation! Removing the dead skin so your new healthy skin can show through. You can use a face scrub, or shower gloves and a mild soap. Then just moisturize with a mild lotion that is hypoallergenic

Eat healthily, drink alot of water, don't smoke. Cleanse and moisturise your skin from an early age. Don't use soap as it dries the skin unless its mild. Lots of products around that don't cost the eart and water is free (sort of).

Always get a product or toner that gets the oil out of skin. Don't let the skin get dry. But nice Nivea cream every morning and night. Buy a cleanser. That helps. One way that makes skin smooth and nice is bathing in milk.
