The English word "ewe" can sometimes be used as the singular form for a sheep.

Sheep breeders refer to female sheep as ewes, intact males as rams, castrated males as wethers, yearlings as hoggets, and younger sheep as lambs.

It is also an undeveloped neck on a horse. An "ewe" neck as it's called can be seen on poorly developed horses who haven't received any training or have received improper training. To tell if you horse has an ewe neck look at the top of the neck in front of the withers. If it curves slightly down before going back up for the withers, then your horse has an ewe neck. If the neck retains it's half moon arching shape to the withers, then your horse does not have an ewe neck and that indicates a properly developed horse.

A ewe is a female sheep. I have two! If it helps, have you ever watched the film Babe? The one with the baby pig? Well she/he has to chant Baa-Ram-Ewe. Baa is obviously the noise sheep make. A Ram is a male sheep, and a Ewe is a female sheep. Hence the Baa-Ram-Ewe!
