I need some wisdom in choosing a well-fit low waist pant.

I was watching on "What Not to Wear" the other day, and chick said to always keep 3 fingers between your belly button and the waist band of your jeans. If your waist is short, low ride jeans aren't going to fit like you want....they will appear higher.

I think that three-finger rule is about right, but also you probably should bend over in the fitting room and make sure not too much butt is showing. That kinda would make you look a little loose, to use a twist on your question.

i like them,despite if it relies upon on the physique.i be responsive to a chum of mine looks slimmer in regular waist denims at the same time as low waist denims make her look fatter. I additionally hate to work out different peoples undies each the place i'm going :/

better question.. how much do you want to show? seriously!
and unless the pants dropped off, then its not too loose. its just how low you want it to be.
