what do you want to know about it?
The movie is based on a novel written by Nick Hornby who also wrote High Fidelity. Hugh Grant plays a guy called Will Freeman who discovers that the secret to dating success: Single mothers all over London and all he to do to get them was to pretend that he himself had a son and was a single dad. He invents a fictional son called Ned and it seems to go quite well at first until he meets an actual twelve year old boy named Marcus who turns everything upside down. Its very funny.
Hope that answers your question.

Based on Nick Hornby's popular British novel, About A Boy is a comedy-drama starring Hugh Grant as Will, a rich, child-free and irresponsible Londoner in his thirties who, in search of available women, invents an imaginary son and starts attending single parent meetings. As a result of one of his liaisons, he meets Marcus, an odd 12-year-old boy with problems at school. Gradually, Will and Marcus become friends, and as Will teaches Marcus how to be a cool kid, Marcus helps Will to finally grow up.

It is "About a boy" and in my oppinion it is one of those rare cases where the film is superior to the book and well worth watching.

I thought it was pretty good. Not the simple romantic comedy that I expected it to be.

About a Boy? It's very depressing. Don't watch it.
