I think a virgin is considered when her hymen is still intact.
So a guy can stick it in once but not break the hymen. Mind you, the hymen can also be broken in ways outside of sex, like sports, etc. It can sometimes break by accident, so losing it isn't necessarily a sign that you're not a virgin. But if it's still intact after being with this guy (you usually bleed if the hymen breaks), then you could safely classify yourself as still a virgin.
But "virgin" is just a word really. It actually and technically means that you've never done something. So since you engaged in intercourse, albeit very briefly, you could probably not call yourself a virgin unless you went technical with the hymen intact or not intact version. What's more important is what are your feelings about sex and are you ready to undertake the heavy responsibilities involved with sexual relations, let alone the emotional roller coaster that sometimes goes along with it too.
Sex can kill people. So it's so important to approach it in a mature, responsible way. Two parties NEED to talk about their sexual pasts and any former diseases, and you need to protect yourself anyway. People can lie and tests (especially for HIV) can be inaccurate if a person was recently infected.
But sex also creates children and women really need to be responsible in ensuring that they don't create another human being just because of a romp in the sack... conception should be much more sacred and precious than that. So use protection, to avoid some very ugly diseases but also to prevent pregnancy. Know in your own mind what's important to you and what your responsibilities are.

No--not technically. But--I sense from your attitude you are not comfortable about it--I think you can still consider yourself a virgin. The encounter was obviously stopped pretty early (or else this guy is the supreme early ejaculator:))
Seriously, I can not say this about myself personally, but I wish (though do not seriously think it will happen) that my daughter remain a virgin until married. That is pretty old fashioned--and a laugh coming out of me. But I really do think it is an ideal.
But it is also good that you are true about your feelings and sexuality. I know girls who are technically virgins cuz they only do oral and/or oral sex. This is a crock--they might as well do the whole ball of wax (with protection of course). They are kidding no one--except themselves I guess.

of course not. what idiot told you that? him? did he also say you won't get preg.the first time? or if he pulls out? if he only stuck it in once you are no longer a virgin. that ship has sailed. you should get a book or use the internet to educate yourself about sex BEFORE you do anything else. and it cannot be said enough... ALWAYS USE A CONDOM!

Virginity: Penetration of the penis into the vaginal.
Him "sticking" in only once is him penetrating vaginal. Therefore, no, not a virgin.
No matter if barley place it in or if hymen is present, the fact is it was penetration and any penetration of the penis in the vagina is considered a non-virgin.
