I checked out this band, Trivium. They sounds like post hardcore but other sites says melodic Thrash metal some says melodic death metal. Isn't post hardcore is almost same as melodic thrash metal? Its not like I diss on them based on genre, i juss wanna know. thx

I definitely would not call them thrash metal, melodic death metal? nowhere near it. Matt Heafy, while a good singer, can not scream, his voice can't do it. They have songs that last too long because they try to fit too many different elements into them so they can appeal to more people. If they stop doing that, they could be quite a good band.

A "generic" Metal Band. WOuldn't call them hardcore, grinecore or anything liek that.

in the most pure and simple sence-they're metal, although 'the anthem' is less metal than previous stuff, they still rock though
