I'm an Australian and since the port athur massacre we had a total ban on all semi-auto matic weapons, but in America after the Colombine massarce you continuted to use guns even though guns created the problem, I know that its in the constituion but I worked out that its safer to be an Iraqi solider than live in Washinton D.C as Washinton has about the highest death rate in the world.

If you don't like it you don't have to come here, comrade.

You would really choose being an Iraqi soldier over living in DC? I think you might have a statistic or two wrong there. All I know is, if the police, with all their radios and support options, think it's too dangerous to go out unarmed, then I need to be armed as well. Only joking, I don't own a gun, but that is an argument.

Because you don't punish the law-abiding for the actions of criminals, and also because #1) a gun ban would not make anything any better because criminals would still have guns and #2) you could never take away guns from everybody. Imagine WW3 only 100 times worse. That's what would happen if you tried to take away people's guns.

I don't think asking the people of America will solve the issue. Man i hate it how foreigners label America as something and believe everyone is still the same. Well back to topic I think they should ban guns in the US. Everyone needs to learn how to fight so only the strong survive. But see the downside is that those who want to use guns for evil will probably take evil means to get it anyways. So they will probably just buy it from some illegal gun dealer. Then when he breaks in to your house, he easily kills off your entire family because you can't defend yourself. But hey it's more important to be a model citizen right?

Very, very simple. Because...

In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929-1953, approx.
20 million people were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938. From 1939-1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies and others were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948-1952, 20 million political
dissidents were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. from 1964-1981, 100,000 Mayan
Indians were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971-1979, 300,000 Christians
were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975-1977, one million “educated” people were rounded up and exterminated.

That places total victims who lost their lives because they couldn't defend themselves because of gun control at approximately 56 million in the last century.

Remember, an armed nation is a free nation, and a free nation is an armed nation.

Because, "an armed and aware public is a ***** to oppress". If you feel safer in Iraq, more power to you. While we use guns to protect our families, we hardly have anyone blowing theselve up in a restaurant. Your observation smacks of envy .
