Good question.Even I had thought about it just after Matarazzi's cofessiions.
U think a person who has no respect for another's mom and sis will know the value of realations?I dunno abot his wife. But i dont think any wife would be happy with their husbands insulting an innocent lady.I think Matarazzi is nothin more than a piece of ****.
He can never come anywhere close to ZIdane.Zidane is a player way better than him and Matarzzi cant even dream of comin close to him.Zizou is also such a faithful husband. He is known to be very dedicated to his family and he showed it in the WC 2006 finals.Zizou, U r my HERO!!

Materazzi did a mistake so is Zidane , Its really annoying that this incident is what ppl remember the most from the World cup. We forgot the amazing goals , we forgot the celebration and all the beautiful stuff but we still talk about Zidane and Matterazzi. I think we should just forget about it cuz soccer is better than that.

What MOST of the people do not understand, the alleged phrase Materazzi have said, it is a typical Italian (vulgar) expression on retaliating over a provocation. That sentence is often said during verbal arguments between two people, independently from the knowledge of the person background or from the provocation.
And Zidane knows that very well, because he played in Italy for few years. His reaction is not justifiable. Materazzi is a "dirty" player, and no one justifies him neither. BUT in the contest of the episode of the World Cup Final, he did nothing else that what everyone else do when playing soccer (when it counts).
If you do not understand that, probably you never played "professionally" or at a competitive level OR you are not informed on what is happening on soccer fields all over the world.

At the end of the day the History books will say Zidane got sent off and Italy won the world cup. Those are the facts.

As I answered in another post in Italy we start from the kids to let them know this tricks, I can tell my personal experience. I was a defender and things like what Materazzi said happens quite frequently on the field. I know it's not fair play, but when you start headbutting people who are talking to you, well what for? In normal life Monsieur Zizou would have pass the night in jail, instead they fgive him the mvp trophy, I bet that's thew other face of the medal of the same trash.

Materazzi is a professional soccer player and he new exactly what he was doing...Zidane should of been smarter that to fall for his trap....that's the honest truth!!!!!
BTW; he didn't say anything to insult Zidane's family he's too smart for that..it was just the usual trash talk.
As for Yu5uF your're a moron @ Michael Jackson I suggest you get another face lift ..you need it!

The entire situation was pathetic and overrated... it was only meant to intimidate Zidane and it back fired... I doubt his wife gave a sh*t about what was said... 2 months ago!!!

They were both wrong. There's no reason to insult someone's family but a head-butt is pushing it too far as well
