we had not seen one another before marriage although we used to talk to one another but,he turned out to be a total insane person arrogent,abusive,short tempered after marriage never cared for me,i have no finacial support from him also,his parents have also stopped talking to me now and as he had a job in hyderbad left me saying that he will arrange for a house and call me but now it has been 4 months neither he calls nor he answers my phone i want to leave him we are muslims can i give him divorce as i now dont want to live with that jerk now.can law help me in this and how should i proceed????

you should take the help of the law and search that person and clarify about your relationship and if conditions wants divorce then its OK, bcz your whole life depend on it

I really feel for you. I think you are thinking correctly. You should not put up with this. If you live in the USA the law can help you. You have been abandoned. He has abused you. I do not know where you live and if you have legal rights there. I do think you need to find help from someone and get free so you can have a good life and move on. It is like you had no marriage at all. In chrisitanity it is where you could get an anulment for that. It means the marriage did not take place. I do not know if your religion has a place for that. I hope it does so you can move on without stigma. I think you are smart and thinkng clearly. I hope your family supports you, but if they do not there is still a way. I just do not know how your country works.

I can not advise you on legal aspect.
I read your life story with sadness. Don't understand how could ever happen to you. Also surprisingly, an arranged marriage could turn out so bad to you.
To what I know an arranged marriage was introduced long time ago especially those in Asian countries. Normally parents of the two families will make a pre-marriage arrangement since their child were young. So in your case it might be different.
Hope you will get good advice on the legal aspects. Your husband deserves to be put in court.

Why you want a financial support from him? First get your pregnancy test done. How are you by nature? If in 15 days you have read him so much, think about your behaviour towards him.If you feel you are guilty, no harm in saying sorry. Its very easy to break a relation but difficult to maintain. Why his behaviour was like that, think?After Divorce howsoever good a lady is,she is looked down upon. Don't give up so soon.Try & Try & then think,what you are thinking now.

first of all i am not a Muslim therefore i don't know u r laws and i am from another country anyway as a woman i would say that u should apply for a divorce with u r parent's agreement.because u have suffered a lot if he is a good husband he would have took u with him.

get out of the marriage! i am a muslim too, and arranged marriages are in no way part of the religion. we are about pro choice (like everyone else ) with parents approval of course! but get out of this marriage, no woman deserves this! tell the imam the situation. inshallah khair. good luck and do whats best for you. dont worry about what others think!

i'm a Muslim and that happened to a Muslim friend of mine.. well my friend wanted to marry a girl who was married (she was Pakistani) to someone in an arranged marriage. Her husband sent her to America and after 1 or 2 years never once tried to contact her. my friend wanted to marry her. i told my friend to speak to a Shaykh who annuled the marriage. technically, if a husband does not make any attempt to contact the wife, in Islam their marriage is cancelled.
you need to speak to a Muslim scholar. I can tell you one in USA.

I'm not a Muslim, so I guess I can't really tell you how you should handle this. But, just based on my beliefs, no person (regardless of race and religion) should not put up with this. Get a divorce.

Hi, You can leave that jerk anytime,because he has left you.Get a lawyer and divorce that jerk.You can find some kind of work, and take care of yourself.
