So many answers, but it's in my BEDROOM and I can't use powerful insecticides. Catch it? . . . they seem to make a sound that comes from everywhere . . .

I have recently had the same problem. I had to get earplugs out for a few nights so I could sleep. You can stop it from make that horrible noise, only temporary, for a few seconds. They stop when they feel vibration. The only way to get that pesky demon gone, is to find it. I had to tear my bedroom closet apart. I was so happy once it was gone.

Never mind the category, just go out to the nearest supermarket and get a potent insecticide, close your room and spary it for a while then leave it with the door closed. After half an hour open the windows and air the room thoroughly. That's it, chirp, chirp !!!

Use an effective bait called NIBAN OR INTICE BAIT GRANULARS for use inside and outside in non-food areas, in particular crawl spaces, basements, garages, or the perimeter of the home. Or Spray Demon WP or Suspend on all entry points, doors, windows, plumbing under the sinks, washer and dryer connections, baseboards and garage and basement areas. ..along the baseboards.
Both of these products are odorless and last 3 months...considered a long term residual insecticide.

Well, I know this may sound cruel, but if you can't find it to pick it up and throw it outside, you can always use a bug bomb in your bedroom as a last resort.... It makes me sick to think about it. My cats could usually point out where the critters were so I could find them and throw them outside.

make a paste of 50% icing sugar and 50% baking soda mixed with water and place it in tucked away spaces on an upside down margarine lid. the icing sugar will attract them and when they eat the mixture, because they have no way of expelling gas, the baking soda makes them go boom. (not literally).

Im not sure how much help that will be for tonight.

place the cricket outside or leave it alone or just think of it has organic music, and if you have ear plugs wear them and in some cultures they bring good-luck and that can always help.
