i'd rather have one solid friend than 100 acquaintances. all of this sounds so cliche, but isn't it about quality and not quantity? the more peripheral friends you have, the more hassle it becomes too. obligations, commits to people you don't even really care all that much about. why do that to yourself when you're probably already busy with a million things as is? i've really narrowed my friends down in the last year or so and i'm much happier now. the people in my life now are like family and i LOVE them.

In the movie, "The Wild Bunch", someone says something like, "It's not as much about how good your word is, but, about how good the man is you give your word to." Meaningful friendships, as opposed to superficial friendships, are a fulcrum for honor in our lives.

Trust is basic to happy life, and so real friendship is of great importance, and one has to keep trying all his life to get it, nurture it, and sustain it !

Good friends are more important than family. Being a good friend is harder than being a brother. Being a brother's best friend is next to impossible.

its very important...i couldn't imagine having someone of significance in my life that is not a family member... for people like me who have had love their whole life through family, its a great feeling to know that you can have that same type of comfort around someone outside of your family... someone you can talk to, be yourself with and just feel bonded to is one of the greatest feelings in the world...and unfortunately, that type of feeling is too hard to put into words...(for me)

Really really important, sometimes we can't make it on our own,and it is not a sign of weakness it's a sign that we're humans.I think my girl-friends and some like to be referred as homegirls, are like my sisters, they's a big part of me and I of them.

VERY important. because I need to express my true self to feel understood & loved & I can only do that w/ very close people to me. If I didn't have anyone to talk to I'd go crazy!!!
