I am not being facetious or anything, but I get most of my news from friends and family, I do not watch the news that much, I do receive the daily paper, and I will read what is interesting, but to know local news can be very disappointing and discouraging at times. If I hear something that is encouraging, I may go to my computer, this world can be an ugly place, and I need more Positive reinforcement.

I think most people get their news from the internet. It's about 24 hours ahead of the newspaper, and it's much more complete than TV news. You can read as much or as little as you want, take your time or hurry through it, and research related articles, factual resources, etc.
I get news from Reuters, AP, the BBC and the New York Times from the internet daily.

I get most of my news from MSNBC Keith Olberman's show Countdown and also from John Stewart's Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Since most of the news is ridiculous I like a comedic spin on it. I gave up reading newspapers about 6 months ago because it was too depressing.

I know many people get their news on the internet but I am the type to have CNN on the t.v. constantly unless a favorite drama or comedy is on. I sleep with the t.v. on. Hubby hates it.
