It sounds insane, but I did read in a book about an herb/plant in South America that a person can take to increase milk production. An older man did breastfeed his granddaughter because his wife had long since passed on and his daughter had been in a car accident or something. I can't remember the book, though I think it was in an Herbalism book or the Contrary Farmer. (i think...)

OMG. Now Kathryn A and the Breast SS are advocating men breastfeeding. Will someone please kill me now so I don't have to suffer anymore of the insanity? Please? Oh, and Kathryn, that link is not reliable. I mean, if 15 men on planet ************* Earth happened to have galactosemia and were producing abnormal amounts of prolactin and estrogen to the point of slight lactation, it's rare, and the man really should think about seeing a qualified physician for assistance.

Next week, Kathryn will be advocating men slice pouches on their abdomens so they can carry their newborns around like daddy seahorse. Every day, it's a new fad with these hippies in child rearing. Then, if we don't do it, or disagree, oh...our kids are destined for a life of loserdom and failure.

Excuse me as I go take some ipecac so I can barf.

Men, like women, have nutrients that help with infant growth and development, so if that's what they want to do then cool. No judgment. Do I think they should breastfeed publicly? Eh. Public breastfeeding makes me uncomfortable, but if that's what a mom or dad wants to do, I see my opinion as void.

I read this and thought, duhhhh, what a stupid question - but, actually you've got me thinking. Why, from an evolutionary prospective would the male of the species have breasts?? The whole point is that breats aka mamary glands are there for milk production. So why shouldn't men breast feed. I realise they don't have the hormones for milk production, but it is an interesting Q.

Some scientists said that just a little amount of men in the world can breastfeeding their babies. Its all about hormones in their body that can produce milk. For women, don't get shocked when a man can do somethng like that !

Naturally a man can not breastfeed a baby because he can not produce milk, although nowadays there are these creepy body things that you can put on with nipples and milk comes out of them them.

Although I dont breastfeed my son anymore I'll be damned if anyone wears that thing and tries to feed my son.

Yes it is very much possible .
Today the medical science has gone so ahead with DNA & GENES science, yes it is possible to inject harmones in the body and get the required results, though the process is complicated and costlier.
Do you want to go for the one?

Not with out artificial means like hormones or some type of physiological imbalance and I doubt he would like the change. aside from that it would be very Unnatural and very unpleasant to think about. Its a unique woman thing o_-

Yes. It is possible. Male breasts contain the exact same "equipment" as female breasts, however due to the hoermones at puberty they develop differently externally.
