Our jobs take up most of our waking hours. Make those hours as happy as possible! The pay difference is negligible, and you seem truly excited about the new job. You obviously thrive on human contact, which you are not getting that much of in your current "boring" job. Working the occasional Saturday night is not such a big deal if you really enjoy what you do.

Best of luck, mate! Life's too short to not enjoy what we do for a living.

It sounds like you'll be improving yourself, your skills and the chance of actually working with other people. If the financial bit is not a problem for you, I would say: "go for it!". I never thought working on saturdays a problem when I still did that. You'll have another day off I presume?

It is definitely worth serious consideration. Contentment with one's job IS part of the pay plan, if you ask me! You sound like a social person who needs more contact, and this is a very important feature to consider.

Dunno about this one. Boredom is at least predictable and people often times are not.. Sometimes boredom is a state of mind. Remember when they taught us not to daydream in school? That is how I keep my sanity these days - by daydreaming! What does your head tell you? What does your heart tell you? I really do not know anything about such things but I want to continue to answer thoughtful questions because I can't get to sleep and I really like this Yahoo Questions and Answers (this is my first day at it). Sincerely.

Always go with the job that "feeds your soul" as well as your belly. If you don't mind the change in hours, this sounds like it could be a good move for you.
