I used three of them. Not the same models but my first pc was custom built. Then I got an hp, now I have a Dell.
I say you should buy Dell, because it is significantly better then the others. But hp have more repair services around.

So, choice is yours but i reccommend Dell.

good day and good luck

I Don't Know Which One Should I Go, Many Of Our Peoples Told That HP Is Better As I Also Think, Because I Had A Dell Laptop And It's Hardware Is Getting Corrupted Which Is DVD-ROM Drive Because It Is Not Reading DVDs. I Had Not Seen HP Yet, But Dell Has More Features Than HP. Dell Offers High-Performance Tablet PCs And Android, But HP Is Not Beside. If You Want To Buy, You Can Go To HP, But I Recommend Dell!.

A lot of software comes with some of the hardware when you build. As long as you buy the hardware "retail" and not "OEM". You can get Win XP Pro OEM from newegg.com for about $140. So now your up to $1140. Still less expensive than the HP and you get warranties on each part, not on the unit as a whole. Example, lifetime warranty on memory when you build, from HP or Dell 1 year.

You get what you pay for. Add about $200 for the software. If you build your own computer you are stuck if something goes wrong, like incompatible hardware and drivers. Dell tests the software and drives before shipping the computer. HP, you are buying off the shelf.

I'd go with Dell. At least then you are going with a proven system.
