If you are from an older generation than me (eg. not at school and possibly with a kid) (I'm 14) then I want to hear your stories. They can be war stories (when you almost died), love stories (a twisted tale where they asked you to marry them), horror stories (creepy building, you, on your own), or something really interesting, but it has to be true.
I want as much detail as possible, the setting, speach marks (or just what people said), who was there, names, the date it happened.
The winning story will become a short auto-biography for my english homework, if you want you can leave your e-mail at the bottom of your post and if it gets best answer then I will e-mail it to you once it has done!

I had breast cancer. I don't want everyone here to know all about it as it was an extremely traumatic expreience, (and you've seen how unpleasant a lot of people can be) but I would be willing to tell you some more if you think it would help. How many words does your story need? Do you want the funny or the moving version?
email me through the answers thingy if you want to take it further. If you have found a better story then I hope you get great marks and enjoy doing your assignment
All the best
I have been trying to send story to you via reply, but am having difficulty.

It is a shame to see all these negative replies, this kid is only 14 and clearly has a wish to find an interesting story to write about. She has had the guts to come on here and write a little intro.
Angel - Top marks to you for innovation and for your restraint when adding your own comments to those miserable replies.
If I had an exciting life, you could write all about it, but as you can see I am here typing this message to you! good luck with your biography, I hope you meet someone interesting to write about.

Sorry, but only things that happen to you can be included in an autobiography, and if you take other peoples experiences and use them as yours, then that's some sort of fraud, plagiarism. As you have written the question they could only become a biography, and then only if you use only experiences from the same person. Otherwise it can only be called a collection of reminiscences.

Great answer Rusty. Don't let these critics steer you away from your goal Punk Rocker. This could be the most interesting experience you'll ever get, but at 14, I doubt it. The world is your Oyster.

"The winning story will become a short auto-biography for my english homework"
That can't be true. If you write about someone else's life, it is a biography, but not an auto-biography. An auto-biography is when you write about your own life.
So if the homework is an AUTO-biography, this question is useless.

If you wrote an auto biography using MY stories-- I 'd sue the living . holy bewhop out of you and THEN you'd have a story to tell-- there isn't anyone in your class that would believe you served in VIet Nam--owned a concert promotions company and worked with rock legends for twelve years anyway---try sticking to the straight up about YOURSELF here and you may be able to stay in class long enough to finish the course...................

you're lame . . .
Why don't you really put some effort in your homework and visit a retirement home and get some face time with the people you will be writing about.
Sometimes it's not the words, it's the glimmer in the eye . . .

"Autobiography" means that you are supposed to write about yourself. Are you sure that you have understood the assignment correctly?
