Go to a piano and try to play the first few notes of your chorus (your chorus is normally the basis of your song) then take those notes and work out a chord... (do you know what a chord is??)

Sometimes when you're playing the chord on your left hand then you can play the melody with your right hand.

first of all, you have written a poem, not a song. songs encompass music and many songs have no lyrics at all. any guitar player worth his salt will be able to give you a 3 or 4 chord melody to your liking and then you'll have a song; not poetry.

What? How much do you have written? If you have a melody, you need to find the chords that complement it. If you just have lyrics, then you might want to find some local musicians and they can help you. You need to be more specfic with your questions.
