Walmart tucked tail and bailed out of Germany. The reason? Germany requires a decent wage, health benefits, unemployment benefits and no 3rd shift. Everybody is closed on Sunday.

I think the quality of merchandise at Walmart (American) has drastically gone downhill.

The justification for how "good" Walmart is for us is the argument of how great they are for our Consumer Society. What is overlooked is they have become the new Robber Barons that Teddy Roosevelt fought so hard to eliminate.

Politically, it is a shame that we finance their lobbying efforts at both the state and national level.

If Walmart was any friend at all to the USA, they would start by eliminating those wasteful plastic shopping bags.

Walmart to average America does indeed suck. They are bad for small businesses and are vicious at times but there are a lot of people who like them.
Poor people who can eat better because Walmart undercut the competition.
The hard to employ can find jobs at Walmart whereas they would have difficulty elsewhere.
Shareholders can sit at home and watch the money pile up.

But I personally hate the Evil Empire for the way they treat their employees and the low wages they pay and poor benefit package

Getting fired is much different than being laid off. It means that you've received disciplinarian action for something that you did or didn't do. After 6 years, that's pretty harsh...it must have been something pretty bad! What do I think about Walmart? Well, it's been a great avenue for stepping down from hard labor construction industry, back-breaking work for my husband, and it's a place he can work til he's old...and still maintain his medical insurance and qualify for his SS some day. He's a good employee, so for him, it's great. He works in sporting goods, and is a hunter and fisherman, so it's perfect for him.

Myself, love Walmart...very useful for many items. Cheapo and lot's of the stuff is garbage, but if you know how to shop it, it's great.

It seems Walmart does not only stamp out local businesses but disregards it's employees needs, too. You should always take care of your own - no matter what business it's in. So, yeah, Walmart sucks; they only care about making the rich richer.

I think they're notably one of the worst companies of all time for exploiting their workers both here and in China.

Rampant capitalists without any sense of morals or ethics in regards to the communities they set up base in, the Waldon family is also well known as some of the worst greedy bastards around.

I mean common, they have an anti-union task force that flys around in their own private jet!

wal mart sucks, particular. yet mine finally have been given those new carts that incredibly roll and the wheels do no longer appear like they have been chewed off by utilising the deformed and outstanding those that paintings there. Does yours have elderly risk-free practices gaurds? Mine does and whilst i offered this pc, the checkout female reported if the alarm is going off, basically walk speedier than the risk-free practices.in addition they hire the bearded woman, the lady with the stroke, and the 7 foot tall hunchback guy. and as quickly as I utilized, i became too regular.

They suck. Wal Mart shuts down the small main street stores and destroys a lot of family businesses. They generally pay their employees very little, and don't treat them well. But people shop there because their stuff is really cheap. I shop there, but I think they're a greedy pile.
