Why are woman hooked on "bad" men?

Question

I can't help but wonder why a woman stays in a relationship with a man who is so wrong. These men who cheat, abuse them physically and emotionally, are financially irresponsible... you look at the woman and wonder why she cannot leave the man and with her good looks and charm she could easily get another man, a :good" man who is worth her while, but she still stays with that looser and suffers. What is the logic behind these women staying?

Women look at every man as a "project" who needs to have his ways changed. They tend to feel that losers make for a better challenge. That's why they feel it's some sort of an achievement when they get beaten less frequently, etc. They're making progress!

I don't think there is much logic involved, to be honest. She might think that she can change him, which usually is not possible. Remember that something good about the man initially attracted her to him and she might be holding on to the hope that the good man she first met is still in there somewhere. Not to mention, she is most likely emotionally connected with the person and as we all know, breaking off a marriage or relationship is a very hard and painful thing to do. Don't forget that we all need to feel needed and loved and sometimes people and often women feel as though another man might not ever love her again. Its a fear and insecurity that is basically a lie, but to a woman just out of a serious relationship, it can seem very real. Hope that explains a little.

Generally by nature women once married are committed to their husbands, for better or worse. They feel they are responsible for their wayward husband's actions and thus are sticking by in the hope their men will change for the sake of children. They might be dependent on the spouse for financial support. Society seems to frown upon divorced women. I dont think it's the sexual prowess of the husbands that make abused wives to remain loyal. However with women becoming more financially and socially independent
I think men will start clinging to their spouses for support.

I wish I knew the logic behind it. It would save me alot of problems. I am getting better though. They aren't quite as bad as they used to be. There is just something about a bad boy! I gotta have them. I've tried the good boys. Just didn't work.

Women who have ******* as fathers usually will pick ******* as adults.

There is a psychological trait.... things that are traumatic to you as a child become attractive (even sexual) to you as an adult.

See instance above.... or another example.... a woman who was raped (mostly at a very young age) tend to have a fantasy where they are dominated and raped....

it's kinda like perpetuating the cycle...

I don't know why women pick bad men as you say it there is also men who pick bad women so I guess we r even.

i think that they stay for serveral reasons: family, money,house, the car, the ideal that they might change, confused, and maybe low self essteem even though they know that they are somebody, and last but not least they think that they are in love.
