Hockey, in which India has an impressive record with eight Olympic gold medals, is officially the national sport.
The last time we won a gold medal was in 1980. Since then we have deteriorated.

I feel it is hockey, although India has crashed in the recent World Cup. But Cricket is more popular here, and more people are mad about Cricket.
