I was brought up being taught by the catholic church that sex was a dirty thing. Being my moms son was not a cakewalk either. Now, Im in my 20's and still a virgin. Ive had a couple girlfreinds, and just made it to the third base. I find it repulsive to go further, either im afraid that I might catch some STD or having sex with someone you're not married too is morrally wrong, . I need help, and I want to get laid SOON! I dont have problems getting a woman, it seems very pointless now because the chick might want to do it, but as much as I want to do it, "big johnny" is too afraid to work... (if you know what i mean).

You're at a time when you are discovering your own identity. It is up for you, and you alone to decide when you are ready to have sex.

It's difficult when we have been raised by parents who are very religious and/or feel that sex is not an appropriate thing to discuss.

As long as you use a condom, and you can easily look up on the internet how to have the safest sex, then slowly you will grow comfortable.

It is not for anyone but you to decide when the time is right. It's 2006, many women aren't looking for commitment, some are, so make sure you go into whatever you want with her realizing that it's just sex.

I know it's hard to ignore "the tapes" of what one's parents told us, but you are an adult, and as long as you aren't harming another it's your life. As I said just practice safe sex and you won't worry about sexually transmitted diseases. Feel free to email me.

oi. do you really want to have sex, or do you just not wanna be labled as ''weird'' when ppl find out you're a virgin? i mean, yeah, you're in your 20s, and most folk around that age want to, but the fact that you have such a nervous apprehension about it seems to tell a tale of another part of you that really doesn't want to do it. there's a saying ''if you repeat a lie enough times, ppl will believe it.'' not to say that the church is lying -- or telling the truth, for that matter, but it seems that this idea has been repeated enough that it has become part of what you thuroughly believe at some deep level, so no matter what you think with your conscious mind, something else just can't let go of that restraint. so do you really want to have sex? is it really that important to you? or has your upbringing formed the sort of person you are today, so that you are scarcely like most ppl are, and you're just trying to fit in and be happy like the rest of them? (sounds like i'm talking from experience, huh?)

Don't go and be stupid and give yourself out of marriage. The reason you can't get past that point of yours is gulit that is saving you from making a huge irreversable mistake. Would like to think that your future wife is out there being a slut and giving herself to any guy while your trying to wait for her?????? seriously....think about it.
