I have seen MANY questions regarding India. Citizenship, blood drives... am I missing somthing? Or is this just taking off in India?

Just curious.

You must forgive our ignorance. I recently asked an Indian architect why is there so much poverty in India. She said it is because the middle class (who elsewhere traditionally pay the most tax) is the minority in India and the government has no money for all the programs to combat poverty.
I asked someone else why is it that the poor have so many children. My friend said that men want sex, the women are too weak to protect themselves.
I had to accept both answers as valid.

To tell you the truth.

Indians who had been sleeping for many centuries have somehow started to wake up.
I mean they are still drowsy and only a few are about to like ..wake up ? But most of them (almost all of them) are still spleeping as before.
Please don't ask me whether it is a night time in India.
It has been for many centuries.

That could be a reason for so much interest in India all over the world.
That also explains all the questions about poverty and problems in India.
