There is a reliable trick: Before you go to bed convince yourself that you HAVE to be up at 6. That always works with me because the subconscious is a powerful tool to use.

I have problems with that, too... I bought a big alarm clock that rings like a school bell. I put it in the hallway just outside my bedroom door. It's very loud, so I have to get up to turn it off. By the time, I'm in the hall, I pretty much realize I need to get in the shower.
Other than that, I'd just say you should set the timer on your TV to turn on at a certain time. Make the volume loud and keep the remote away from the bed. Set a cellphone alarm, too.

Make sure your alarm clock is as far away as possible from your bed.
Even if it is all the way across the room, it would not hurt to change the position of it for tomorrow, the change of place may wake your brain out of the funk it sounds as if you wake up in, and remind you that ''something important is going on today''!

Hmm, quite a quandry you have here. So, you're saying that you need a back up for the alarm clock that you turn off in the midst of a sleepwalk? Yes, you are a girl who needs an anvil. Hang it up on the ceiling over your head, and tape the alarm clock to it. When you get up to turn the alarm off, the anvil will fall and well, you'll be knocked unconscious. Sorry, I'm all out.

Go to sleep earliest, preferably 3/4 hours earlier than normaly, to make sure U get enough sleep to wake up fresh without hangover, withou bothering to think that U got to wake up early, & also set the alarm at a bit earlier time, keeping closeby your time piece, so that U hear the sound of alarm loudly & get up as soon. I think this's enough to make U get going, but practice & make sure a habit to get up early regularly, slowly, if U can. Do not forget to thank me if U could make up with my advices, on my IM, only if possible.

Go to bed nakkid. Wrap yerself up in a few wet towels and connect the leads from a car battery charger to your big toes. Plug the charger into a wall outlet timer and set for the desired time.

Get another alarm set it then have someone hide it in your room. By the time you find it you'll be to awake and angry to go back to sleep.

1, your so worried abouyt this you'll probally either not sleep at all or you wake up 5 mins before the alarm.
but if you have a friend that will alread be up, as them to ring you on land line at 0610. you could also keep your blinds/curtains open if it gets light around 6ish around you
